Premise Corporation Showcases Technology Innovation and Proven Outcomes at HIMSS 2007

Farmington, CT (February 23, 2007) - Premise Corporation, a leading provider of clinically-focused software solutions to optimize patient flow, is honored to have clients showcase their patient flow improvements enabled by Premise solutions at the annual Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference. In addition, throughout the conference, the company will also be showcasing its newly released Premise 3.0 in its booth, #1853. As a finalist in the Microsoft Healthcare User Group (MS-HUG) Technology Innovation Awards, Premise will also be recognized at the Microsoft booth, #1411.

Premise clients will present two educational sessions at HIMSS that describe how Premise has enabled greater patient throughput:

  • Optimizing Patient Flow – A Systemic View of Technology-Enabled BPR; by Chris Konen and Donna James of Christiana Care Health System
  • Optimizing Patient Flow and Decision Support; by Carol Holland of Yale-New Haven Hospital and Eric Rosow of Premise Corporation

These presentations will provide case study-based evidence of how Premise improves patient flow, increases efficiency, enables better decision-making and improves communication across the hospital. Highlights include how Premise clients have reduced bed turnover time from eight hours to less than thirty minutes, reduced internal phone volume related to bed placement by 70%, and trimmed bed placement time by 40%.

During HIMSS exhibit hours, the Premise team will be demonstrating their newly released patient flow platform, Premise 3.0, in booth #1853. Premise 3.0 includes a new transport module to streamline transport workflow and service delivery, advanced reporting on key data indicators such as length of stay (LOS) and closed bed analysis, and several new feature enhancements driven by client feedback. Other improvements include architectural advances such as a segmented reporting database for more powerful data analysis, automated data archiving, and improved platform deployment and management tools.

Additionally, Premise Corporation was recently named as a finalist in the MS-HUG Technology Innovation Awards 2007. MS-HUG plans to announce the winners during the HIMSS Conference.
