Top Healthcare Executive Joins Premise Board of Directors

Farmington, CT, (April 18, 2008) - Premise Corporation, a leading provider of clinically-focused, integrated software solutions that optimize patient flow, has appointed Michael B. Kaufman to serve on its board of directors. The founder and managing partner of Knowledge Based Transactions (KBT), which provides merger and acquisition, alliance, and strategic consulting services to healthcare technology firms, Kaufman brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience to Premise during this important period in the company’s growth.

Kaufman served as CEO of SDK Healthcare Information Systems for 20 years, which was founded in 1961 as the first company in healthcare computing technology. When SDK became one of the founding companies merged to form Eclipsys Corporation, Kaufman stayed on as an executive vice president for ten years. During his tenure at Eclipsys, Kaufman helped grow the company to a billion-dollar player in the healthcare IT arena and was a key member of the executive team that took the company public.

The appointment comes at a time when Premise is experiencing significant momentum and growth. Premise’s revenue increased by 260% in 2007, and the company’s five-year growth of 2,265% earned it the 71st spot on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing companies in North America.

Kaufman joins an established board that includes Joe Adam, co-founder of Premise; Jeffrey Davison, general partner of Inflection Point Ventures; Richard J. Dumler, general partner of Milestone Venture Partners; Adam Grossman, managing partner of Aetna Ventures; and Joseph Zaccagnino, former president and CEO of Yale-New Haven Health System. Premise CEO Eric Rosow, who co-founded the company, serves as the board’s chairman.

“Mr. Kaufman has a wealth of healthcare IT insight and leadership experience and a proven track record facilitating sustainable expansion,” stated Rosow. “As Premise continues to gain market share and help an increasing number of hospitals achieve their goal of optimizing patient care through improved efficiencies, we will benefit greatly from Mr. Kaufman’s strategic counsel.”
